VISION

This is a vision quest to find yourself.

"Where there is no  vision, the people perish." Proverb 29:18

"Your vision will become clear only when you can look into your own heart." C G Jung

CONNECTION

Creative art and nature therapy have deep roots which reach back in time and into the 95% of ourselves that lies beneath the unconscious that is affecting our life. Making the unconscious conscious reconnects us to parts of ourselves, families and communities that we have forgotten and repressed.

COMMUNITY

Heather works and plays at Beloved Sanctuary, a healing arts center that combines the powerful transformation of art and nature. With sweeping cedars and flowing waters, it is a community in which humanity and nature collaborate. It is a place where nature reaches out to invite us into deeper relationship with ourselves.

MEET YOUR GUIDE FOR THE Journey

Heather will be your primary guide. A life-long artist and nature lover, she knows the transformative power of art and nature both personally and professionally, having guided others. Teaching across the lifespan from preschool to college to Alzheimer's clinics, Heather has worked and played with people from all ages.

"You are your own guide. Only you know YOUR way." HTZ

EXPLORE THE METHOD

This path returns to the earlier therapetuic role of society to help individuals find their way in their life, family, community and world. While this is a guided path, it is ultimately your path. Like Jung's mantra: "There is only one way and it is your way." This is your transformation into yourself but you do this within circles of family and society.

"At it's essence, art is an alchemical process. Alchemy is a process of transformation."

Julia Cameron

FIND YOUR WAY

While some offerings, like the vision quest or rites of passage, focus more on nature, others like the Individuation Path series orient more directly to art, but all of the offerings reflect a wide range of modes of expression, ways of knowing and intelligence. All paths are psychological and playful, based on the innate creative power to change and transform ourselves and our lives by being who we naturally are. Though one client might be drawn to clay, another to collage and another to a tree, they are all recreating themselves by connecting their nature to nature. Ultimately, this method renews and reconnects us to the interconnected web of life which is the true gift of the method. The power of the practice is our ability to recreate our self and life as a way to recreate the world. It is based on systems thinking and the recognition that all life is interrelated and whole. In this transformation the individual, family, community and world are brought into greater harmony and integrity with the transformation of each individual. This transformation centers around the heart. In a very real way, the journey travels from the head to the heart.

"If light is in your heart, you will find your way home."

Rumi

INTRODUCTION

In creating art you are remembering and recreating yourself, communicating with unconscious elements through the images that emerge. You are finding your center and yourself in dialogue with these images. Bypassing conscious thoughts and words, this innovative approach helps you see through the psychological lens of the imagination to gain insight into the larger whole of which you are a part not apart. In creating art you remember your connection to the larger Self of your life and the world.
